Our Carers Strategy

Aberdeen City Health and Social Partnership has recently published the new Carers Strategy which acknowledges the huge contribution that Carers make and seeks to support all unpaid Carers in Aberdeen City.

During the development of the new strategy there were several key inputs including; the National Carers Inquiry, publication of the National Carers Strategy from Scottish Government, the dedicated work and support of the Carers Strategy Implementation Group and most importantly the wider consultation and engagement of Carers across the City.

The new Carers Strategy identifies four key priorities to support Carers:

  1. Identifying as a Carer and the first steps to support
  2. Accessing advice and support
  3. Supporting future planning, decision making, and wider Carer involvement
  4. Community support and advice for Carers
