Strategic Plan out for consultation

Tue 15 Jan 2019

Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership’s draft Strategic Plan 2019–22 is now out for public consultation.

The draft plan outlines how the organisation will deliver a wide range of adult health and social care services over the next three years.

It sets the focus and direction for improving people’s health and wellbeing based on clear aims, priorities and commitments – based around “prevention, resilience, enabling, connections and communities”.

The draft plan has been developed following extensive discussions with individuals, organisations and professional colleagues across the city.

Partnership Chief Officer Sandra Ross said: “These discussions helped us to understand how people involved with adult health and social care want our services to look, and what we should be focusing on.

“The feedback gave us a clear picture of what is going well, what needs to be improved and what we need to concentrate on. It also highlighted that there are many and varied needs in relation to health and social care services and we have worked to shape our plan to meet these.

“I would now encourage the citizens of Aberdeen and our stakeholders to take advantage of this formal consultation period and give us their views on the draft plan – because this document should belong not just to the partnership but to everyone in the city. We will study the feedback carefully and consider all the views and suggestions that are expressed.”

Consultation on our Strategic Plan 2019-22 has now ended. A revised version of the plan, taking cognisance of the comments we received, will be presented to the IJB on 26th March 2019 for approval. It will be part of the pack of IJB papers available on our website from 19th March 2019. Once approved the final version will be available on our website from 1st April 2019.
